Born in 1954 in Turin (Italy) , as a youngster he begins the musical classic studies. Later on he approaches to Rock and Jazz music and at the age of 20 he records his first album “TILT” (1974) with the Jazz-Rock Band ARTI&MESTIERI. With this historical Band he continues his activity recording two other albums: in order “GIRO DI VALZER PER DOMANI (1975) and “QUINTO STATO” (1979), from the international critic.

In 1978 he forms the ESAGONO Group with which he records “VICOLO”. At the same time he collaborates with other italian musical talents, such as Flavio Boltro and Giulio Camarca. Composer, arranger and songwrite, with the vocalist Elena Roggero he forms eighties, CAST group. With this Group he records “DEPARTURE” (1986) and participates to national tours with Fausto Leali, Roberto Vecchioni, Pierangelo Bertoli.

His interest in Latin and afrocuban music approaches him to the Brazilian percussionist Dom Um Romao (who already played with WEATHER REPORT) with whom he plays on the permanent staff during his permanence in Italy. Early in the nineties he plays with ENSAMBLE group with which he partecipates to national and international promotional tours.

From 1992 to th 1996 he plays with Latin Band MACALE’ with which he carries on an intense concertist activity and he records SAUAQUE’. At the same time he carries on an arranger and producer activity , following new emergent talents. In the 1998 ARTI&MESTIERI are reconstituted, with them he records MURALES recently published. From 1998 to 2002 carries on to the concertist activity with ARTI&MESTIERI and GRC Jazz movement.

Currently he plays with Cuban pianist Nelson Diaz, and has completed the his first soloist CD “RIFF” for ELECTROMANTIC Records . From 1979 he carries on didactic activity.
